Design 2

My second design is something Elizabethan yet very modern and very now, a lot of girls wear their hair half up and half down with a top knot or two on top od the head. So I changed that look in to something which I could relate to Elizabethan style.

The front will have a little braid going round the hair line down the sides of the head, they start on the top of the head with a middle partin. The top of the hair is rolled backwards quite high and sleek quiff, I didn't want to crimp or frizz the hair as I wanted it to be quite modern so I kept it smooth.

The back of the hair is divided into two parts, the hair is braided up the back of the head near the top but keeping some of the hair out near the top. The hair and the remaining hair that wasn't added in to the braid is then put in to a bobble and in to tow buns on each side. Where the hair is rolled backwards from the front, the base at the back will be lined with jewels.

I feel this look is a very modern look with the braids, the sleek hair and the two buns on the back. It still has an Elizabethan feel to it though with the hair all being back, the big hair on the top and the braids too. I also added the jewels in to the hair look as Elizabethan ladies liked to look rich and wealthy by added the jewels in to the hair.

I want to have all the make up natural keeping the attention on the hair. I want a perfect base with highlighted dewy skin and mascara, defined brows and some gloss on the lips too.

My inspiration for this look was the new look coming in fashion right now, the usual top knot on the head which has now been turned in to having two top knots on the top of the head. I think this look is very edge yet very cool and funky. I really liked the look of the braids going up the back of the head too so I decided to do my design with two braids and two buns instead.
